Tynset is 60 km from Folldal Fjellstue. Guests can visit the museum at the nearby abandoned Folldal Mines, which date back to the mid 1700s.

Lit cross-country ski trails are found next to the hotel, and a small downhill slope is less than 10 km away. Staff is happy to help arrange fishing, hiking, canoeing and other recreation.

The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner buffets. Guests can enjoy an after-dinner drink in the bar.
